  • Jon Amor Band (Blues)

    Jon Amor rose to prominence on the British blues circuit in the early nineties as one of two guitarists in the trail-blazing blues band from Wiltshire, THE HOAX. The band toured the UK, Europe and North America before disbanding in 1999 with four successful albums and a string of awards to their name. Over the following decade, Jon went on to become a singer-song writer in his own right, releasing two ground-breaking albums of self-penned songs with his band AMOR. Jon’s 2006 release “Unknown Soldier” was endorsed by a guest appearance from the legendary Robert Plant.

Snappa like to take classic songs by artists like The Beatles, Elvis etc and re-work them to give them an up to date sound. They love playing festivals and parties and their mission is to make the whole audience sing and dance all night long.

    Our monthly quiz returns this evening hosted by the ever popular Martin Baldock. Now in its 18th month, our quiz has established itself as the destination on an otherwise dull Tuesday evening. 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Cash and drink prizes with an additional bonus round with a prize fund currently at £75. Max 4 in a team. £2.50 per person.

    ‘Having been in bands for as long as some of us have… and having played the same old toons over and over, we decided not to play all those songs you hear so many other bands playing’… so don’t expect ‘Stairway to Heaven’, ‘Hotel California’, ‘Disco Queen’ etc etc… What you can expect are songs like ‘Set Fire to the Rain’, ‘Sledgehammer’, ‘Bring Me to Life’… with even a bit of Faithless thrown in too!

    The Will Edmunds Band is a blues and funk outfit featuring Will on guitar and vocals, Hammond organist Paul Quinn, and th ehard-grooving rhythm section of Miguel Andrews on drums and Chris Lee on bass. The band perform interpretations of classic numbers from the likes of Robert Johnson, The Three Kings (BB, Albert & Freddie) and The Meters, with a sound that is tight and fresh yet retains that old-school mojo!
